Divers come from the world over to explore and enjoy the waters around Bodrum. There is a wide variety of dives available in the area in waters with visibility averaging around 20 metres and water temperatures ranging from around 17 - 22°C in a season that stretches from April to late October.
There are currently 2 main reefs off the coast of Bodrum however plans are being considered by the Ministers of Culture and Tourism to create a Marine Park on the Bodrum Peninsula. If these plans go ahead it will create dive sites with 5 shipwrecks dating from between the 6th Century AD to 1995.
The reefs in use today have 8 main dive sites and are full of marine life such as grouper, moray eel, rays, barracuda, octopus and a huge array of other spectacular fish. When exploring these sites you can experience caverns, half-caves, funnels and even a meteorite hole. There is plenty here to occupy the advanced and novice diver alike.
